Dissimilar Metal Joining
Process flexibility affords the benefit of substituting different alloys and materials into the build platform to create advanced metal matrix composites. Thermally sensitive samples can be created by accurately welding copper into select features. Reinforced structures can also be developed with titanium buttresses welded onto aluminum features. Capacitance and resistance parts are also feasible with the ease in welding dissimilar materials together – all of which are enabled by Solidica’s Ultrasonic Consolidation technology.
